Charlotte Hunter

I am a director, producer, and the founder and Artistic Director of 41 Degrees Productions, a new theatre company that connects emerging creatives with theatre professionals, and produces new writing with a focus on musical theatre.

 

I am also a graduate of the University of Leeds with a first-class honours degree in English Literature with Theatre Studies.

 

Born and raised in Leicestershire, I am extremely passionate about regional theatre, and have a particular love for musical theatre, and plays with music. 

 

I have directed musicals such as Alice by Heart (Pyramid Theatre) and Bonnie and Clyde (Pyramid Theatre) and have undertaken observerships with Georgie Staight and David Friars-Robles (Operation Mincemeat), and James Seager (Les Enfants Terribles). 

 

I also have produced and general managed fringe theatre around London (Mother Knows Best, Bread and Roses Theatre) and at Edinburgh Festival Fringe (Lonesome Tonight, Symposium Hall). In the summer of 2025, I interned at Wild Yak Productions, working across shows such as Seagull: True Story (Marylebone Theatre), and Slava’s Snow Show (UK Tour).

 

Alongside directing, I am a communications assistant at the theatre PR agency ANRPR, working on campaigns that range from to West-End smash hits such as Six the Musical (Vaudeville Theatre) and Choir of Man (Arts Theatre and UK Tour), and Off-West End shows, like the revival of the acclaimed family production of Alice in Wonderland (Soho Theatre Walthamstow) and new work, such as medical comedy Heartsink (Riverside Studios). 

 

As a director, producer, and publicist, I am adept at communicating stories through every stage of production, and am particularly passionate about the audience experience and making theatre accessible to all. Directing with creativity and kindness are my core ethos and something I bring into every room I work in.
