Consultations…

Do I need to do anything before the consultation?

When you book your first consultation you will be asked to complete an in-depth nutritional therapy questionnaire which will provide details on your health, medical history, lifestyle and diet patterns. This will need to be returned to me at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.

What happens during the consultation?

The initial consultation will last approximately 60 minutes and will involve:

  • Detailed analysis of your dietary and nutritional intake
  • Detailed health and family case history
  • A strategy for health linking symptoms to imbalances
  • Support and encouragement to change diet and lifestyle
  • Action plan with personalised advice
  • Supplement programme where appropriate
  • Non-invasive clinical tests if required to ascertain any underlying conditions

The programme will also include a dietary analysis report, recipes, meal plans and motivating and practical support to help you achieve success.

What is a dietary analysis?

As part of your consultation you will be given a 40 page indepth dietary analysis report to take home that will give you a clear comparison of your dietary intake against government guidelines and optimum nutritional recommendations. It can also help you to determine how healthy your diet really is and will provide simple guidance on how to correct any nutritional imbalances or deficiencies that may be impacting your health and wellbeing. The benefits of a comprehensive computer analysis of your diet include:

• A thorough breakdown of the nutritional content of your current diet in a simple and easy to read format.
• Clear presentation of your results in graphs, pie charts and tables with supplementary explanations.
• Quickly allows you to identity the strengths and weaknesses of you current diet.
• Confidence to make positive changes where needed.

Will I need a follow up appointment?

Depending on your case it is usual to have a 60 minute follow up consultation 4-6 weeks after the initial consultation. During this appointment we will review your progress and where necessary make changes to your diet and supplement programme in order to advance your treatment.

How much is the cost of a consultation?

The initial consultation is £75 and follow up appointments are £65. For complex cases and during pregnancy longer appointments are available at £115 for 90 minutes.

Where are consultations held?

Nutritional therapy consultations are held at Care For Health in Godalming and Maple Leaf Chiropractic in Weybridge. For more details and to book an appointment please call 07919 897950.

I had the benefit not just of her detailed knowledge of health and nutrition but also her enthusiasm for living well. She inspired me to take a holistic approach to how and what I ate. I lost weight, gained energy and became much more in tune with my body.
